34 Things You Didnt Know About Proffee

This dear friend of mine celebrated her 34th natal day
last Saturday (December 20, 2014) and on the eve of her birthday,
we were exchanging messages and declarations on FB's private message when
I fell asleep and left her online. Hahaha. I'm really sorry Proffee, please know
that I tried so hard to keep my eyes open but I eventually failed. =P
Para makabawi, I'm having this blog entry dedicated to you,
my one special friend who stayed with me kahit na ilang beses ko
pa siyang matulugan. =)

34 Random Things You Didn't Know About Proffee
(just in case you already know, this is to validate na lang)

1. Around 12 years ago, I saw her wearing corporate attire
with high heels for her college OJT. She looked so professional.
And from then on I was calling her Prof, short for "professional."
2. She loves Purple.
3. But when it comes to her pedicure, she prefers Black. Haha.
4. She loves to sing (has a good quality of voice).
5. And Destiny by Jim Brickman is her favorite wedding song.
6. Mickey and Minnie Mouse lover.
7. And she won't mind going back to Disneyland and take
that long line again just to have a picture with this cute Disney couple.
8. Her smile is one of her best assets.
9. One Cambodian guy saw her picture in her passport and
told her that he likes her smile. He offered her to be her
taga bitbit ng gamit but she turned him down. Tsk3x. Poor guy.
Hindi man lang nabigyan ng pag-asa. Hahaha! =)
10. Proffee can't sleep without her mahiwagang piece of mosquitero
placed on her feet.
11. Suki sa panuhot. Can't understand? Use Bisaya google--if there's any.
12. She takes a bath for 45mins-1 hour.
13. But because change is constant, well, 30 minutes na lang daw. DAW. =)
14. She has 2 cellphone numbers.
15. But she seldom makes her reply---not unless it's very, very, very urgent. LOL.
16. Shoe size: 4.5 to 5 (US)
17. Ring finger size: 5 (for those who are planning to win her heart, you know)
18. Branded facial wash is a no-no; only Safeguard and Tender Care will do.
Sensitivity of the skin at its finest!
19. My travel buddy. We traveled to different parts of Philippines and beyond.
18. Teacher by profession, missionary by heart.
20.  Considers short term mission trip--Myanmar na ba Prof?
21. Teacher by profession but she can do tourism, accounting,
banking and finance, nursing and engineering!

23. Phlegmatic. But more of being Choleric lately.
24. Dedicated. Let her do the thing that she loves, and she'll
do it with excellence.
25. One of the G12 National secretaries (please update your cellphone number
and email address. Dili na mao ang naa sa manual. Hahaha)
26. She loves the Lord with all of her heart.
28. Wakes up as early as 4am para magdevo; body clock na niya.
28. Prayerful.
29. She has one of the most colorful book of dreams. So creative.
30. Her heart beats for the ministry---just giving her all for God's people.
31. Power Pastora of the Changerella's network and BCC Kidapawan Satellite Ministry.
32. She loves her family so much. Tay Maeng, Nay Emi, Toms and family,
Kuya Elbert and family, Rosemarie and Yvette.
33. A friend you can always count on. And I personally consider
it as a blessing having her as one of my dear friends.
34. Yeah, she's 34 years old BUT you must admit, kahit saang angle mo
tingnan, hindi halata. Because that's the real beauty radiating God's
glory. 34 years of waiting for her one true love next to Jesus also made her
more gorgeous and lovely inside and out.

Happy birthday Proffee! You know naman that your joy is my joy.
And the "completion" of that joy is one of my earnest prayers for you.

#AlamNaThis =) Hahaha!

Another Kind of Love

"But there's another kind of love. One that gives you the courage to be
better than you are, not less than you are. One that makes you feel that
anything is possible. I want you to know that you could have that.
I want you to hold out for it."

-Adrianne (mother) to Amanda (daughter);
Nights in Rodanthe by the famous Nicholas Sparks

Munching this Rosquillos Corazon when I heard that conversation in the movie.

How ironic.

Now it's time to munch the quote.

Seasons of Love

Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty five thousand moments, oh dear
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?

---------

Why hello there. I was away from this blog for two years. As in two. long. years. That would mean I turned 2 years older now (how old am I again? =D) but more than the age, I grew up wiser also. Well you see, it's not just possible to come out of a year or two (2013-2014) and not be a better person, right? And I may have been missing scribing my thoughts over the past few months and years, but believe me, God never failed to let me experience His favor and blessings all through out. He is faithful, so very faithful. On another note, how I wish I could write everything had happened on this entry or if only reposting my photos on Instagram (well, I sort of kept it on this app) is as easy as 1,2,3. But I guess blogging about the present is as significant as the past and the future. So yeah, let's talk about the "current" and the seasons I'm in now.

SEASON OF GOODBYES AND HELLOS.

I bet we all went into that situation wherein we considered we'd be staying longer on that stage or maybe our last stop in a long and winding journey. However, there are also things you were once so sure of, and find out later that these are just mere phases in your life. Agree? Well, pretty soon I'd be saying goodbye to one of the many facets I adhered for the last four years. Nothing is permanent as they say. So yeah, at least for this particular time I am more ready to pack-up, leave the unnecessary baggage behind and go when God says it's time to go. And to where I am heading to, I know He is already there, me ready to shout my sweetest hello and Him all prepared to give me His warmest welcome. Sheesh... Why does it have to be this exhilarating?? Thrilled!

SEASON OF GROWING

Non-living things aren't made to grow. They're anything that is not now nor has ever been alive. It doesn't go through the cycle of life, like you know, birth, growth and death. You and me? We don't belong here. We grow, I mean, we MUST grow. A.W. Tozer once quoted, "Refuse to be average. Let your heart soar as high as it will." Allow me to share an instance where I found myself become better, I know it's kinda petty but at least I improved in some ways. Well, everybody in the family knows that my cooking skill sucks. Despite of having a grandmother, mom and sister who are all champions in cooking, here I am an all-fried-ulam-rookie. I used to make an excuse that I'm a better dishwasher and together with those dishwashing liquids, sponges and pangkuskos, these made me a champion in  one of the most dreaded household chores at home. And as to cooking, my fried chicken was---average. My fried hotdog was so-so. Fried lumpia? Okay lang din naman.  But that feeling of "fried na nga, di pa masarap" made me come to my senses and let me realized that there is still room for improvement. I Googled recipes, repeated cooking episodes on Youtube and allowed some experts to teach me. Now I can simply cook and make some sumptuous desserts, maybe not as expert as the chef in the famous resto, but I'm already fine knowing that I'm a know-how when it comes to cooking.  How about you? What are opportunities you grabbed to be more matured in character or a sharper skill perhaps? We really can't afford to remain stagnant, noh?  Because if ignorance is expensive, then I can also conclude that a non-improving self is chintzy in this evolving and innovating world.

SEASON OF LOVE

 Remember the love
(Oh, you got to, you got to remember the love)
Remember the love
(You know that love is a gift from up above)
Remember the love
(Share love, give love, spread love)
Measure in love
(Measure, measure your life in love)

If your country is residing almost near the equator, well you must love summer. I love summer. I was born in this season, at the height of sun's temperature. I grew up playing around and went home with a pocketful of sunshine. But no matter how joyful it gets from end of March to last week of May, still nothing beats the spirit of Christmas which we all know starts in September in the Philippines. It's the period of the year when people go wiggle-giggle-giddy-giddy-yup-yup-yup! Aaahh, just full of smiling, singing, laughing, giving and loving. You might also want to add those beautiful Christmas lights twinkling every night and Christmas trees standing tall with flowing decorations which you don't like to miss taking pictures with. So many things can happen in this merry season that will leave us inspired, amazed and awed. But what really blows my mind is the thought of our Father in heaven and how much it took for Him to give up His own Son for the ransom of many. Yes, Jesus Christ was born to redeem mankind including you and me and this alone is the conclusion that He's the reason for this season. To have a full understanding of this will surely not stop us from marveling at the wonder of God's love for His children. So consuming.

Christmas is already here and it will just fly by the same manner it came.  May we treasure every moment we have with our families and friends, the ones who stood by with us the whole year round. Above all, it is my prayer that we won't be missing the true message that God is telling us which can also be summarized in 3 words: Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is LOVE.

Come join me in this season. Will you?

 Together we celebrate,
