The LORD said to Joshua,
"Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand.
Not one of them will be able to withstand you."
-Joshua 10:8
No greater confidence will ever come to you or to any other Christian
than the confidence of knowing you are doing God's will.
God will not commission you to do anything without ensuring your success.
God assured Joshua that there was no reason to fear as he prepared
to battle the Canaanites. God would allow the Israelites to fight the battle,
but the outcome was settled before they picked up their weapons!
What a confidence this gave them as they fought!
Even though their enemies fought relentlessly,
Joshua's army was certain of eventual victory.
Always remember this:
God does not promise you victory in every task you devise,
but He does promise that you will be successful whenever you follow His will.

HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD

Your life is a miracle, and the creator of the universe knows you by name!
He's big enough to breathe out stars, yet intricate enough to fashion together the trillions of cells that make up every facet of who you are. The God who spoke the universe into existence made you, too, and knows everything about you. From the smallest molecule to the situation you find yourself in right now, He's aware of your circumstances and intimately acquainted with everything you do. And He cares about you and promises to carry you through.
That's where we find hope in the midst of the darkest places in life. The journey often complicated and painful, filled with confusion and chaos. Yet, the cross of Christ reveals God's promise to preserve and restore you no matter what the circumstance. He will hold onto you and hold you together, giving strength to those who hope in His unfailing love.
He is the everlasting God! About the author: Giglio was born in 1958 and grew up in a Christian home in Atlanta, Georgia. One morning at 2 AM during his freshman year at Georgia State University in 1977, he decided to follow Christ instead of the party life. That conscious decision led him to become one of the architects of the modern worship style geared towards young people with its emphasis on informal attire, expressive worship and low-key, visually driven sermons.
His ministry is based on Isaiah 26:8 - "Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts" (from the New International Version).
