Patilaw 2012!

*gigil-mode*

In less than an hour, 2012 na gyuuuud!
And even if this much awaited year hasn't given its
biggest BLOW yet, aba, I have
already tasted the goodness of our dear Lord for next year.
I've been dreaming of going to Iloilo scheduled March
of 2012. Vision casting, testifying and preaching
are part of my itineraries---will help DCC
(yep, DCC not BCC. hehehe) or Dungon Christian Church
as they establish the G12 vision in their local church.
This is where Czarina (part of LHH's 144) attends Sunday
Services while she's there in Iloilo and as reported, uhaw
gyud daw kaayo sila. She even had opportunities of testifying
5 times in DCC and once in their City-wide fellowship.
Highly favored jud kaayong bataa. =)

Ug si Lord, wala na pud naglangan ug fulfill sa akong mga damgo!
Status: CONFIRMED na jud ko for this Iloilo trip.
Many thanks to Cebu Pacific's piso fare. =)
My nakee Christine will go with me as she has the heart for this also.
Pagka-POWER na lang gyud Nimo Lord.
What more can I say?

Today's Special Visitor

I really appreciate it when somebody visits me
sa balay or even in my workplace.
It makes me feel well-thought-of and special.

=)

And you know what? My palanggingding Donna
is very good with that bisita espesyal.
She never failed to pay me a visit whenever she's
within the vicinity of my office.
She went here just to see me...na-miss na daw ko niya.
Awww.. I missed you too ding!

We had a little chit chat inside my hub.
Maulaw lang gyud mi mangatawa ug kusog,
daghan kaayo makadungog. Ahehehe.

And before she left,
she gave me these macaroons---baked by her.
I'm surprised. My oh my... isn't she thoughtful?

To my PalanggingDing Donna:

The Lord will reward you ding...
Whatever you've invested on me will not be in vain.
My heart loves you so dearly and my prayers
go with you always. God bless you and mosanay!

So blessed with thoughtful disciples,

My Ate Dok

"A sister can be seen as someone who is both ourselves
and very much not ourselves --a special kind of double."
~Toni Morrison

Meet my special kind of double, Ate Am.
Ummm...errr.... Oh gosh.
I'm running out of words to describe her. Haha!
And I'm not going to push myself to do it because If I did,
this whole page won't be enough.
Aaah, ganito na lang. I'll just give 12 things
you do not know about her.

Ready?

=)

12 THINGS YOU DO NOT KNOW ABOUT
DR. AMHERSTIA

1. Her name is so unique. Sa ka-unique, her teachers
and professors before had a hard time pronouncing
her name and have it spelled.

That's actually from a tropical tree with flowers which
have an exceptional beauty. My Papa graduated with a degree
in Forestry. So siguro, he find this name cute
when my Ate was born.

2. She was 7 years old when it was my time to enter this world.
And the whole family welcomed me---except her.

She admittedly rejected me when I was a baby.
She bit and pinched me not because I'm cute (wahehe!)
but because she hated me. How could I blame her?
When all of the attention was on that cute 7year old kid,
suddenly the newest member of the family took the
spotlight away from her. Oh yeah. That's according to her.
But don't worry. Naka-overcome na xa.
She eventually learned to love me (thank You Jesus!).
Paano ba naman din kasi, I'm lovable naman talaga. Ahaha!

3.  She had a middle child crisis.

Again, according to her, palangga daw sa akong
grandparents akong Ate Hazel (the eldest),
I'm the fave of my parents, and she's left with nothing.
What a BIG LIE from the enemy, right?
My momsiepops did everything they could
just to explain to her that it is not really true.
By God's grace, she learned to listen and
felt she's super loved by the whole family.

4. She was the most brilliant among us three
especially when it comes to Mathematics.

When I was in elementary, she was my patient tutor
in Math. I could remember her using some flash cards
just to teach with simple addition, subtraction,
multiplication and division. And it was not a
surprise for me if she was a consistent honor student
way back in elementary and high school. She also
graduated from UP Mindanao with a degree of BS Biology.
We are all proud of her.

5. She was my full-time coach with my Jolen and
Lastiko tournaments when I was a child.

Literally, she was by my side when I had my
jolen, cards, pogs and lastiko games with my
kababatang neighborhood sa una.
She was still my number 1 fan even
if talunan ako minsan. Wahehe!

6. Just like any other siblings, we also had fights before.

Ganyan daw talaga ang magkasunod,
usually sila yung nag-aaway. Kalmutan, sabunutan,
bangayan, name it, we did it! We were so harsh
with each other then. Good thing we're
matured now and grew up more loving this time.
And no, the TIME didn't changed us.
My GOD did. =)

7. She was my room mate since I was born until
she decided to go to MedSchool.

Even though I enjoyed having a bigger space in
the cabinet and so luag na kama, I did missed her.
And I missed her BIG TIME.
For 5 years she was in Ilo-Ilo to pursue
her dream of becoming a doctor. But whenever
she's home, she still sleeps with me...ganahan pud ko
kay naa koy humok na tanday! Hehehe.

8. She's my human alarm clock!

She's the only one who wakes me up with
the loudest "good morneeeeng!!" right through my ears.
Then she kisses me dala gitik! Kinsa'y dili makamata ana?
Ayyyy....Is there anything sweeter than that? Ayeeeh!

9. She used to give me my baon when I was in college.

Several times, gipit gyud sa finances ang akong family.
And I'm blessed because she was the one giving me
my allowance everyday. All I have to do is
mutabok from San Pedro College to
San Pedro Hospital (because at that time, she was
already working as a Resident
Physician in Internal Medicine Dept.)

10. She was my playmate in Sonic Boom.

Speaking of my college days, we used to play basketball,
car racing, hockey, etc. in Sonic Boom, G.Mall.
When she's tired with her hospital duties
and me with my nursing studies, we text each
other and voila! We just find ourselves
playing in that fun-filled place.

11. She never had boyfriend ever since she broke up
with her first highschool sweetheart.

Naku, naku, naku...lagot ako
pagnabasa niya to. Ahahaha!
Kidding aside, lipay lang gyud ko knowing
na we're both waiting for the right man
at the right time. Ang iya lang gyud request,
paunahon lang jud daw xa...Hmmm... titingnan ko
lang ha? Hehehehe!

12. If you think I'm already sweet and thoughtful,
try her. She's the sweetest and
most thoughtful member of the family.

Promise. =)
I'm the sister, so mas nakabalo gyud ko.

If you'll ask me, why am I blogging about her?
Well, happy lang gyud ko because she's home just
this morning from Manila. Yehey!
(BTW, She's with the National Kidney Transplant Institute
for an Oncology training and helping the Cancer patients.)

Mama and Papa fetched her from the airport
and while I was preparing for work and taking a bath,
I just heard somebody shouting, "I'm home! I'm home!"
Without a doubt, my maingay, bubbly, makulit and
sweet na Ate Dok is now home. For breakfast,
we prayed and ate together.

=)

She brought with her one big box full of pasalubong.
Sulod ana kay kani nga shoklet, groceries, cakes, etc.
So masaya na naman my parents including me.

She handed me this purple Starbucks tumbler. Ha!
Love't!!

I was hoping my Ate Hazel (I'll make a blog entry about her next time),
and my pamangkins could also join us as we celebrate
the New Year's Eve para kumpleto.
But they just went to Cebu City a month ago,
so dili gyud sila kauli for the holidays.

Sige lang, ako na lang mubisita sa Cebu next year!

For now, me and Ate Dok are planning kung
unsa2x na lutuon for the new year celebration
(she's reaaally good in cooking!)
Tapos unsa-unsang klaseng dates among buhaton
for the remaining 4 days na naa siya dinhi.

So Thankful To Have Her Sisters,

iPhone 4S

I am praying for a new cellphone. Since the day I opened my hand
and gave my Blackberry Storm, I never stopped dreaming for a new one.

And so here comes the much awaited iPhone 4S.
Neh, I'm really not into super mahal na mga things but
one thing I liked about this phone is its 8MP camera.

I'm also desiring kasi for a digicam.
For a traveler like me,
a camera should always be on the checklist
of my things-to-bring in every travel I'll be braving.
I love to capture those moments in which I know--will never happen again.
Though I can go back to the same place and see the same people,
but the experience will be different--and this is the very thing
I want to "collect" and cherish.
And para hindi na doble-gasto, I'll buy na lang
cellphone and a camera in one.

=)

To cut this blog entry short, I applied online
to GLOBE's iPhone 4s plan.
Tagal ko ring pinag-isipan and hiningian ng approval
from the Lord and from my parents.
Maayo na lang pud, makaya pa jud sa akoang budget!
Hehehe.

I submitted all the requirements they're asking
from me and now waiting
for their update regarding this application.
I just can't wait to "check" the
iPhone 4S in my book of dreams and let
all of these things (my goals and dreams) happen right before my eyes!

You Are In My Prayers

Cagayan de Oro City has always been special to me.
T'was 9 years ago when I first set my foot on that place.
(take note, my first ever pinakalayo na byahe
na dili nako kauban ang akong family).
I had been to several youth camps there and yes, if we're
just talking about memories in CDO, I have lots of it.
Even until now that I'm working, this city of golden friendship
is still part of my life. I supervise most of the doctors and hospitals
there which enables me also to visit them at least 3-4 times in a year.

That's why when I heard about the news that they (including Iligan City)
were greatly affected by typhoon Sendong, it broke my heart.
Many people died and hundreds of them are still missing.
Some of them survived but they were left homeless.
As seen on the television and newspapers, we can see that it was painful. It was hard.
But I guess, not a single man can fathom what they're really going through right now.

Nevertheless, being a Filipino, I just cannot sit here and watch what is
going through as of the moment. One thing I liked most of being a Pinoy
is that we have that spirit of tulungan when our dear kababayans are in need.
Donations of food, clothing and financial assistance as well are freely being given
and to some who are privileged to go there, they're helping non-stop.

After I finished my paperworks in the office this afternoon,
I quickly went home. (sorry, it took me so long to do this...sobbed)
This is the only time I have to check my cabinet and sort out my things
to give something to them. And there it is, 14 bags full of clothings,
blankets and shoes. I even asked Papa to accompany me early in the morning
tomorrow in ABS-CBN, Shrine Hills, Matina to hand it to Sagip Kapamilya.

While I was packing up those things, I was in constant prayer.
I just remembered what Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 1:3
"I thank God, whom I serve, as my forefathers did, with a clear conscience,
as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers."

#HeIsFaitfhul

P.S.
As of this writing, I am having an Asthma attack. It's not new to me though.
Whenever I'm exposed to dusts
(ganyan na ba talaga ka-alikabok ang cabinet ko? hehe)
ginahubak gyud ko.
But there's nothing to worry.
My inhaler is helping me with my O.A. na histamines. 2 puffs done.
And the best thing? Jesus is with me---as He has always been.

In faith,

Ukay-Ukay: Women's Bestfriend

Tested and Proven. Ukay-ukay these days can also be a source of joy
especially for those who are making "tipid" of their budget.
Even the famous question of one of the TV Ads airing right now,
"Saan aabot ang 20 pesos mo?"
can be answered by these segunda mano apparels, clothings, etc.
Oo nga naman, bring with you your valued 20 pesos to an Ukay-ukay
and you'll be amazed, it can still buy one good tee-shirt/tops.

For me, it is a GREAT TOOL to eliminate stress.
You haven't asked, I'm a green thumb when it comes to ukay-ukay. =)
And so, to do some Okz-Okz (not a cockroach! Hahaha!) is
always part of my list as to what type of bonding discipleship
I'm going to do with my beautiful, submissive, and SINGLE ladies.
Yes, I disciple them with this---ahh, what an expert ukayist can do! Hahaha!

Right after the BCC-Tagum Thanksgiving last December 18,
I brought my girls to Tagum's Night market.

Okay. Only seven of them were with me. Lizzie, Arianne, Motty,
Janie, Ross, Kean and Tine.

Toinkz. 4:00 pm pa man diay. So wala pa'y night market.
This is the only ukay-ukayan na open at that time. Oh so sad.

Bili na mga suki!

Liz? Unsa daw?

That's Janie trying to fit the pink cap.

Ay naku...ayun, busy sila. hehehe.

Sa tantong pili-pili, wala gyud mi napalit! Oh gosh.
Girls talaga no! Wahehehe!

And so we settled na lang to our next best friend, FOOD!

Went to McDonald's somewhere in Freedom Park, Tagum City.

Yay! We ate bunch of fries!

Ug uban sa kaon, ang sturya....just shared a lot of things
and mind you---it's from the heart. <3

Oooppss...We didn't noticed the time, it's getting late na diay.
Magclosecell pa si Mommyding, girls! Tara Let's Bagetz!
=)

Hurriedly we hopped on the bus! Hahaha!
Ayan kasi, naglami man ug sturya...

BTW, this is a Kinglong Bus. As in K-I-N-G-L-O-N-G!
My ever favorite na bus!

There...kanya-kanyang seat partner. =)

When we do discipleship, it's masaya.
Mas masaya pa kesa sa mangukay---believe me! =)
Though it's not always "joys and laughters" in the closecell
(kabalo gyud akong mga girls ani. hehehe),
but when we're together, MASAYA LANG TALAGA.

Thank You Jesus, You taught me how to love my girls
with all of my heart. They are my one true joy that is so IRREPLACEABLE.

PERIOD.
